We saw this at a home outdoors show in Adelaide about six weeks ago and fell in love with it straight away. It’s a BBQ with a huge difference. It’s an outdoor setting with a huge difference. It’s a centre piece for outdoor entertaining.

Steve and Kathy from BBQnique located in Woodside SA came up with the idea three years ago, and have invested a vast amount of time and money refining this product to what they have today, quality. I can tell you first hand this product oozes with quality, as we had ours delivered and installed yesterday afternoon.

The BBQnique is a granite (real granite not the manufactured stuff) table that can seat eight people with a BBQ located in the centre. The beauty of this design is it allows all your guests to cook their own food whilst still maintaining a conversation. The traditional BBQ kept the cook and his mates away from everybody else until the food was ready. The BBQnique allows everybody to be together, and allows individuals to cook their food, the way they like it. Once the cooking is finished you can place a granite cover over the hotplate so the whole table can be utilized, excellent for dips, bottles of wine, and placing a lazy suzan in the centre. It turns your BBQ into a tradional table, made from granite. It’s really fantastic and certainly a conversation starter that’s the envy of everybody who sees it

The BBQnique is a solid granite table top, with a quality 304 stainless steel base which is 2mm thick. This quality SS is not seen in most BBQ's as it’s considered to dear to manufacture.

The BBQniques's centre grill can be replaced with a hotplate, wok trivet, and pot/roasting trivet (all included). These are all easily interchanged with removing tools and are housed in the BBQnique 'Buddy' which can be purchased separately. The buddy also has a granite bench top along with SS draws and cupboards, to house all the extra accessories for the BBQnique. The Buddy's granite bench top acts as a servery for all your salads etc.

We ordered our BBQnique a couple of weeks ago. Steve and Kathy delivered it free of charge to our house yesterday afternoon. They worked around our working time as they know it’s very hard to get time off work, especially around this time of year. Kathy and Steve unloaded the BBQ and had set it up in the location we wanted, the whole time explaining the setup process. They were very pedantic as when they removed the plastic from the Stainless steel they sprayed and cleaned everything including the granite bench top. This is the sort of service you just don’t get anymore, truly fantastic. Steve and Kathy stayed for a couple of quiet ones whilst showing the operation of the BBQ and going through some of the recipes they've come up with. My fiancée and I were just blown away by the level of service they provided and they are very down to earth. They know there product is excellent so they let it speak for itself. Not like that used car salesman type mentality you quite often see these days in salespeople.

Well so far we have cooked prawns, steak, and this morning bacon and eggs on our BBQnique whilst enjoying the afternoon and morning breeze in our garden. I can tell you the only fault I can see with it is we will probably start eating way too much. The BBQnique certainly blows our Weber Baby Q out of the water, a bbq for people with no friends. HEHEHE

Finally, the BBQnique with the BBQnique 'Buddy' is certainly not cheap. But considering you now have an outdoor table that’s seats 8 people made from real granite, an outdoor servery made from real granite, and the best BBQ in the world all in one, the price is actually quite affordable. The build quality and level of service will ensure this outdoor centre piece will last for years to come.
